Two juveniles dead and an adult man in critical condition after a rear-end crash in New Orleans (New Orleans, LA)

Two juveniles lost their lives and adult man was left in critical condition after a two-vehicle accident on I-510 South and I-10 East.

As per the initial information, Seventh District Officers were sent to the crash scene at about 3:51 p.m. On arrival, officers found two wrecked vehicles at the location including, a dark-colored Jeep Wrangler, driven by a man, and a white Lexus, occupied by a man, a 15-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old girl.

EMS rushed all three occupants of the Lexus to the hospital, where both juveniles were declared deceased whereas the adult male is currently listed in critical condition. The preliminary reports showed that the Lexus were heading on I-510 South when it was struck by the Jeep Wrangler from behind. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the decedents and determine the official cause of death after completing an autopsy and notifying the next of kin.

The incident remains under review.
