Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when a motorcycle crashed on Apple Road west of Sarcoxie, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at 2:10 p.m. at Apple Road and Private County Lane 45, about half a mile west of Sarcoxie, the Patrol reported. A single vehicle was involved — a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling westbound, according to the report.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Sarcoxie, sustained minor injuries, while a 31-year-old female occupant from Diamond, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries, the Patrol said. No fatalities were reported.
Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.
Troopers with Troop D responded to the scene, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
