A two-vehicle crash on US 50 in Johnson County left one driver with serious injuries and another with minor injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 8:14 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2026, at the intersection of westbound US 50 and Northwest 1801 Rd, the Patrol's preliminary crash report states. A 2011 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound when it was involved in a collision with a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport heading westbound, according to the report.
A 30-year-old male driver from Overland Park, Kansas, suffered serious injuries in the crash, the Patrol said. A 37-year-old female driver from Olathe, Kansas, sustained minor injuries and declined medical transport, according to the report.
Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.
The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop A, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating.
