A two-vehicle crash north of Springfield left two people with minor injuries on July 3, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary online crash report.

The collision occurred at 1:03 p.m. on MO-AA, about six miles north of Springfield in Greene County, within the jurisdiction of Troop D, the Patrol reported.

According to the report, a 1993 Chevrolet 1500 was traveling westbound when it was involved in a crash with a 2025 Kia K4 traveling eastbound.

A 30-year-old woman from Kansas City sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said. A 46-year-old man, also from Kansas City, who was driving one of the vehicles, likewise sustained minor injuries and was taken for treatment.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation. This report is based on preliminary information, and details may be updated as officials release further findings.
