Two drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route A at the Route H intersection, about two miles outside Appleton City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary online crash report. The collision occurred on the evening of Oct. 9, 2026, at approximately 6:58 p.m.

According to the Highway Patrol, a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling northbound while a 2000 Ford F-250 pickup was headed southbound when the two vehicles collided at the intersection.

The Subaru's driver, a 55-year-old woman from Diana, Texas, sustained serious injuries in the crash, the report states. The Ford's driver, a 72-year-old man from Appleton City, suffered moderate injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the Patrol.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D is investigating the crash under incident number 260430359. No fatalities were reported.
