Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 44 Westbound in St. Louis County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at mile marker 271.2 at approximately 10:05 a.m. on July 31, 2026, the Patrol's online crash report states. A 2000 Ford Expedition and a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe, both traveling westbound, were involved in the collision, according to the report.

A juvenile occupant sustained minor injuries and was taken for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. A 53-year-old woman from Swansea, Illinois, who was driving one of the vehicles, also sustained minor injuries and was transported for treatment, according to the crash report.

Heavy rain was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.

Troop C of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene, the agency said. The crash has been logged under incident number 260322264.
