Two drivers were taken to hospitals with minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 435 in Clay County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at mile marker 44 on August 28, 2026, at approximately 2:15 p.m., per a preliminary online crash report from the patrol's Troop A division.
Authorities said a 2026 Chrysler was traveling eastbound while a 2023 Honda CR-V was headed westbound when the two vehicles collided. The Chrysler was driven by a 50-year-old man from Excelsior Springs, and the Honda CR-V was driven by a 70-year-old woman from Saint Joseph. Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported for medical treatment, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop A is handling the investigation.
