Two drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Highway 37 about a mile south of Butterfield, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary online crash report.

The crash was reported at 3:09 p.m. on July 27, 2026, and involved a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta traveling southbound and a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu traveling northbound, the Patrol said.

A 54-year-old man from Purdy sustained minor injuries, while a 54-year-old woman from Cassville suffered moderate injuries, per the Patrol's report. Both were transported for medical treatment following the crash.

Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene and is handling the investigation, according to the agency.
