Report

Two people suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 44 near Halltown on Monday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:34 p.m. at mile marker 59, about a mile east of Halltown in Lawrence County, the patrol said. The incident, logged as crash report 260413684, falls under the jurisdiction of Troop D.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report, a 2027 Volvo truck/tractor and a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado were both traveling eastbound at the time of the collision. Two vehicles were involved in total.

A 34-year-old male driver from Howard City, Nebraska, and a 34-year-old male occupant from Anderson, Missouri, each sustained moderate injuries in the crash, the patrol reported. Both men were transported for medical treatment following the collision.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to handle the investigation into the incident.
