A crash involving two vehicles left two people with minor injuries the morning of Sept. 27 on MO-YY west of County Road 217, about two miles east of Springfield, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The patrol said the collision, logged as incident 260411971, occurred around 9:52 a.m. and involved a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta and a 2007 GMC Sierra, both traveling east at the time. Troop D responded to the scene.

A juvenile occupant sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the patrol reported. A 31-year-old man from Hollister, Missouri, who was also riding in one of the vehicles, sustained minor injuries and was likewise taken for treatment.
