Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon when a single vehicle left the roadway on US 160 about five miles south of West Plains, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. on September 2, 2026, in Howell County, within Troop G jurisdiction, the Patrol's preliminary online crash report states. A 2014 Buick Encore was traveling eastbound at the time of the incident.
A 27-year-old female driver from Isabella, Missouri, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, according to the Patrol. A juvenile occupant of the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was also transported for treatment, the report says.
Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data, with temperatures near 95 degrees.
