A woman and a juvenile were injured Wednesday morning when a Jeep Cherokee crashed on southbound Interstate 170 north of Scudder Road in St. Louis County, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 8:40 a.m. and involved a single 2018 Jeep Cherokee traveling southbound, the Highway Patrol's online crash report states.

The driver, a 40-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the report. A juvenile occupant of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was also taken for treatment.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C responded to the scene and is investigating the crash, identified in patrol records as incident number 260362323.
