Two Kansas City residents suffered minor injuries Friday evening when the car they were traveling in crashed on Southeast Outer Road in Cass County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at approximately 7:35 p.m. near 23319 Southeast Outer Road, per the Patrol's online crash report. A 2006 Mazda 3 traveling northbound was the only vehicle involved, the report states.

Both occupants of the Mazda, who are from Kansas City, Missouri, sustained minor injuries in the crash, according to the Patrol. No fatalities were reported.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.

The crash, logged as incident number 260290116, was investigated by Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
