Two men suffered minor injuries Wednesday afternoon when their vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway FF and US-60, about half a mile west of Springfield, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 1:50 p.m. on October 14, 2026, and involved a 2018 Kia Optima traveling eastbound and a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu heading northbound, the Patrol's online crash report states.

A 29-year-old man from Springfield and a 39-year-old man from Republic were each treated for minor injuries and transported to a hospital, according to the Patrol. No fatalities were reported, and the crash caused injuries to both drivers involved.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop D, which covers the Springfield area, is handling the investigation into the crash.
