A two-vehicle crash on MO 266 about three miles west of Springfield left one driver with minor injuries, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at approximately 2:40 p.m. on October 4, 2026, in Greene County, the Patrol's online crash report states. Investigators with Troop D said a 2015 Toyota Prius was traveling north when it collided with a 1998 Subaru Forester headed east.

The Patrol identified the injured driver as a 73-year-old man from Springfield, who sustained minor injuries in the collision. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment, according to the report.

No other injuries were reported among those involved in the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
