Traffic was impacted after a wreck Tuesday in Lakeview Terrace.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident was reported at around 2:45 p.m. on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway near Wheatland Avenue. The early reports showed that a fuel truck and another vehicle were involved in the crash. The incident led to the closure of the freeway.
The truck jack-knifed following the collision and spilled about 100 gallons of fuel onto the asphalt, forcing authorities to close down the westbound freeway east of Wheatland Avenue. LAFD hazmat units responded to contain the spill. No injuries were reported in the accident. The freeway was reopened by 6:30 p.m. No further details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
