A three-vehicle crash on I-55 Northbound near Matthews left two drivers with minor injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The patrol said the crash occurred on July 19, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m. in New Madrid County. Three vehicles, all traveling northbound, were involved: a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox, a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, and a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old woman from Orleans, Indiana, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment. A 40-year-old woman from Portageville, Missouri, also sustained minor injuries, the patrol reported.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.

The crash, identified as incident number 260303953, is being investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop E. No fatalities were reported.
