Report

A three-vehicle crash on Chestnut Expressway just west of Springfield left one driver with minor injuries on Sept. 24, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The collision occurred at 6:14 p.m. on Chestnut Expressway east of Interstate 44, about a mile west of Springfield, the report states. All three vehicles involved were traveling eastbound at the time: a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, a 2016 Honda VT1300 motorcycle, and a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox.

A 55-year-old Springfield woman driving one of the vehicles sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. No other injuries or fatalities were reported among the three vehicles involved.

The crash, cataloged under incident number 260407895, was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D. No further details about the sequence of events leading to the collision have been released.
