Three people received injuries after a traffic collision early Thursday morning in Downey.
As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the area of Florence Avenue and Lakewood Boulevard after getting reports of a three-vehicle accident at about 2:25 a.m. The early reports showed that three people were trapped in their vehicles as a result of the wreck.
According to the authorities, one vehicle had two parties trapped and the other vehicle had one. The parties in the other vehicle involved were conscious with non-fatal injuries. Firefighters utilized the Jaws of Life to remove the three trapped patients who were all taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The intersection was shut down for an unknown period of time while crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
