Three people were injured Friday evening when two vehicles collided on U.S. 160 about eight miles northwest of Protem, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary crash report.
The crash happened at approximately 5:35 p.m. on June 26 in Taney County, the Patrol said. A 2024 Audi Q5 was traveling westbound and a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB was traveling eastbound when the two vehicles collided, according to the report.
A juvenile occupant suffered serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said. A second juvenile occupant sustained moderate injuries and was also taken for treatment. The driver of one of the vehicles, a 62-year-old woman from Protem, suffered minor injuries and was transported as well, according to the report.
Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.
No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, identified in its records as crash number 260265835.
