Three people were injured early Wednesday when a single vehicle crashed on County Road 200 about two miles north of Carterville, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The patrol said the crash occurred at 12:40 a.m. on October 7, 2026, and involved a 2024 Mazda CX-5 that was traveling southbound at the time.

According to the crash report, the vehicle's driver, an 18-year-old woman from Joplin, sustained moderate injuries. A 19-year-old man from Carterville, also in the vehicle, suffered moderate injuries as well. A juvenile passenger was reported to have sustained minor injuries.

Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The incident has been logged under report number 260425834.
