Three people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash on MO-87 in Howard County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary crash report. The collision occurred about 0.16 miles south of MO-187 on Aug. 19, 2026, around 3:30 p.m.

According to the Highway Patrol, the crash involved a northbound 2011 Ford Fusion, a southbound 2013 Ford Explorer and a northbound 2016 Chevrolet Equinox. Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.

The driver of the Ford Fusion suffered serious injuries and was taken for medical treatment, the patrol's report states. The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox also sustained serious injuries and was transported for treatment. The driver of the Ford Explorer was seriously injured as well but declined medical transport at the scene, according to the report.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.
