Teenager hurt after a bicycle crash in Sacramento (Sacramento, CA)

A 13-year-old bicycle rider received injuries following a two-vehicle accident Friday in Sacramento.

As per the initial information, the bicycle crash took place at about 7:50 a.m. near Northgate Boulevard and Wisconsin Avenue. The early reports showed that the teenager was riding their bike to school when the Twin Rivers Unified School District school bus hit the teen. On arrival, medics transported the cyclist to an area hospital with minimal injuries.

School officials also informed the student’s mother who went to the hospital to be with her child. The school bus was occupied by children who remained unharmed in the accident. Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be involved in the incident. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
