Teenager died after a rollover crash in Reno (Reno, NV)

On Friday, a 16-year-old boy died of injuries he sustained after a traffic accident Thursday night in Reno.

As per the initial information, the fatal rollover crash took place just before 11:30 p.m. on S. McCarran and Cashill boulevards. Multiple agencies responded to the scene. The preliminary reports showed that the driver rolled the vehicle multiple times for unknown reasons. The teen succumbed to his injuries around 11:15 a.m. Friday.

The motorist had to be rescued by the first responders. Speed did not seem to be involved in this crash. The road was shut down for several hours during the investigation and reopened at 6 a.m. Friday. No further details are available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
