A teenage girl lost her life after getting struck by a vehicle early Tuesday in Buena Park.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place at around 6:05 a.m. near the intersection of Western Avenue and Fillmore Drive. The victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver who hit her remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
A resident in the neighborhood said that she heard a crash and screaming, so she rushed outside to see what happened. She mentioned that a cat also died in the crash and that the victim’s mother saw the accident. No further details are available.
The incident remains under review.
