An 18-year-old woman from Excelsior Springs was injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 35 in Clay County, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 8:30 a.m. near mile marker 9.8, within the jurisdiction of Patrol Troop A, the agency said. A 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and a 1974 Chevrolet Chevelle, both traveling south on I-35, were involved in the collision, according to the Highway Patrol's online crash report.
