SUV plows into a home in Taylor (Taylor, MI)

On Thursday night, a car slammed into a home in Taylor.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place in Taylor where an out-of-control SUV carrying two children in the backseat crashed into a home. According to the officials, Dianna Battistone was on the back porch of the Taylor home when the SUV rammed into the home.

Battistone heard screaming and found out that screaming was coming from the two little girls that were in the back seat.  Battistone and a witness opened the trunk of the SUV, and the girls came out. They then turned their attention to the female driver, who was the mother of one of the girls.

Officers believe that the woman suffered a medical episode at the time of the collision. It is unknown if anyone received injuries as a result of the accident. The owners of the home said they are waiting on a response from the insurance company to determine whether the house could be saved or not. No further details were provided.

The incident remains under review.
