A 41-year-old Springfield man suffered moderate injuries Friday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on Interstate 44 in Greene County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:27 p.m. on westbound I-44 near mile marker 83.6, the Patrol's online crash report states. The report identifies the vehicle involved as a 2016 Victory motorcycle traveling westbound at the time of the incident.

The driver, the only person involved in the crash, was transported for medical treatment after sustaining moderate injuries, the Patrol said. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.

The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop D and is documented under incident number 260398787, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
