A crash between a car and a bicycle on Richardson Road in Springfield sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. on September 27, 2026, about 10 feet west of Springfield in Greene County, the Highway Patrol's online crash report states. A 2012 Cadillac SRX was traveling northbound when it collided with a Trek 800 sport bicycle heading westbound, according to the report.

A 34-year-old man from Springfield sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the Highway Patrol said. No fatalities were reported, and the incident is classified as an injury crash involving two vehicles.
