A two-vehicle crash on Farm Road 146 west of Springfield left one driver with minor injuries, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash, identified as incident 260324175 and handled under Troop D jurisdiction, occurred at 2:31 p.m. on August 1, 2026, about 1.5 miles west of Springfield, the patrol said.

According to the Highway Patrol's preliminary report, a 2021 Toyota 4Runner was traveling eastbound while a 2016 Mazda CX-5 was heading westbound when the two vehicles collided. Light drizzle was falling at the time, with a temperature near 69 degrees and winds around 16 mph, according to weather data.

A 53-year-old male driver from Springfield sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the patrol reported. No other injuries or fatalities were noted in connection with the incident.
