Sharla Ozias injured after being hit by a vehicle in Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

On Wednesday noon, Sharla Ozias suffered serious injuries following an auto-pedestrian collision in Phoenix.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place on Peoria Avenue and 32nd Lane. The early reports showed that two cars crashed into each other as a result of which one of the vehicles jumped the sidewalk and struck Ozias, who was waiting at the bus stop.  One of the drivers, who were driving a black four-door Mercedes, immediately fled the scene after the collision.

According to the victim’s sister, she survived but has incapacitating injuries. She has broken bones from her legs all the way down to her feet. It might take a minimum of 6 months for her to walk again. Officers are still looking for the other driver. No other details are made available.

An investigation is ongoing.
