According to the California Highway Police, a motor vehicle accident was reported in Sonoma County on Wednesday morning.
The official reported that a serious injury accident was reported at around 11:45 a.m. north of Windsor River Road and U.S. Highway 101.
The collision was severe and led to the complete shutting down of Highway 101 in both northbound and southbound lanes.
The CHP has not yet disclosed the victim’s identity.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the officials.
The use of drugs or alcohol is unknown and is being investigated at the moment.
