According to the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office, a motorcycle accident occurred in Downieville.
The officials reported that Scott Fraser did not return home after he left for mountain biking on Saturday.
The Nevada County Search and Rescue assisted along with California Highway Patrol.
Multiple people and organizations arrived at the scene to find Scott.
On Sunday at around 2:50 p.m. Fraser’s motorcycle was found over an embankment in a very steep and remote trail area.
Scott Fraser was located deceased 200 feet below the trail.
The cause of the fatal crash is being investigated by the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office.
No additional information was provided by the officials.
