A 29-year-old woman from Rolla died and a 21-year-old man from Rolla was seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash on Highway J in Phelps County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on June 28, 2026, at approximately 2:40 p.m. in the 21000 block of Highway J, the Patrol's online crash report states. The incident, logged as case number 260269063, falls under the jurisdiction of Troop I.

According to the Patrol, a 2005 Toyota Camry was traveling southbound at the time of the crash. The driver, a 21-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
