A 38-year-old Rolla man was seriously injured the evening of Aug. 23 when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on eastbound Interstate 44 near mile marker 247.8, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol said the crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. and involved a single vehicle, a 2004 Yamaha VSTAR 1100 that was traveling eastbound at the time. The driver, whose name has not been released, was the only occupant of the motorcycle.
According to the Highway Patrol, the man sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment. No fatalities were reported.
