A 62-year-old man from Purdy died following a two-vehicle crash on Route BB about three miles south of Monett, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred on Sept. 20, 2026, at approximately 12:35 p.m., the agency said.
The patrol's report indicates a 2020 Toyota 4Runner was traveling east when it collided with a 1995 Buick Skylark heading north. The driver of one of the vehicles, the 62-year-old Purdy man, sustained fatal injuries in the crash, according to the Highway Patrol. He was transported for medical treatment but did not survive.
