A pregnant woman was critically injured following a rollover crash Monday morning in Victorville.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at about 9:17 a.m. on La Mesa Road and Del Gado Road. The preliminary reports showed that a dark-colored Honda Pilot lost control and flipped over multiple times. The car eventually came to a rest along the sidewalk near a fire hydrant.
Some bystanders stopped to render aid to the victims. Battalion Chief Andrew Roach, with the City of Victorville Fire Department, arrived at the scene with victims pinned in the wreckage. On arrival, crews found two patients who were trapped inside a vehicle.
After rescuing the victims, firefighters confirmed that a pregnant woman received critical injuries while a man incurred minor injuries. Responders airlifted the female victim to a trauma center. La Mesa Road between Del Gado and King Canyon Road was blocked in both directions while crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
