On Sunday, a pregnant woman suffered injuries after being struck by a car in Southfield.
As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at about 3:18 p.m. at the Country Court Apartments, located on Greenfield near 10 Mile. The early reports showed that a pregnant woman got hit by a vehicle in the parking lot.
On arrival, medical personnel transported the victim to an area hospital, where the woman and her child are currently listed in critical condition. The driver of the involved vehicle initially ran from the scene on foot but was later found by officers in the area of Lincoln and Greenfield Rd and was arrested. No further details were provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
