Power supply disrupted after a vehicle knocked down power lines in Concord; alcohol played a factor (Concord, CA)

Residents were left without power after a vehicle knocked down power lines and led to the closure of Treat Boulevard in both directions late Sunday.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place on Treat Boulevard. It is unknown if anyone was injured following the collision. Officials did not provide an estimated time for the reopening of roads. Treat Boulevard are blocked between Cowell Road and Navarone Way, along with side streets including Cuneo Drive.

The officials mentioned that the closures are expected to last into the morning commute. PG&E crews are on the scene making repairs. About 29 customers near the collision are without power. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
