On Tuesday, a rollover crash was reported near Nooksack.
As per the initial information, officer actively responded to the area of Nooksack Road (SR9) and S Pass Road at around 6:45am after getting reports of a single-vehicle wreck. The early reports showed that the semi-truck was carrying wood products. The trailer was loaded with cedar wood fence posts, officials reported.
Puget Sound Energy reported a power outage in the Nooksack/Everson area since the accident happened. 1,331 customers were impacted due to the collision. As of 12:30pm, PSE crews were still working to restore power to approximately 41 of their customers’ addresses. The southbound lane of Nooksack Road was closed as crews worked at the scene. The driver was cited for distracted driving. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
