According to the Collierville Police, a hit-and-run crash was reported on Saturday.
The officials stated that a Collierville police officer was run over by a car at the Fairfield Inn and Suits at Highway 385 and Houston Levee.
The officials reported that the officer was critically injured and taken to Regional One Hospital.
The suspect, 32-year-old Keith Houston Jr. fled the scene after failing to render aid.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Keith Houston is in custody however his vehicle, a white 2019 Corvette had not yet been recovered.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided.
