A 69-year-old driver died following a single-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 123 in Columbia, the Columbia Police Department said.

The crash occurred Saturday at approximately 1:30 p.m., when the vehicle struck a guardrail, according to police. The occupant sustained injuries in the crash and later died, the department said in a social media post on Monday.

No other vehicles were reported involved in the crash. The Columbia Police Department has not released further details about what led up to the guardrail collision.
