A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Barrington Avenue about 1.5 miles west of Springfield, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 24, 2026, per the Patrol's preliminary online crash report. A 2013 Toyota Prius traveling northbound was involved in the collision, the report states.
