A 35-year-old man from Edwardsville, Illinois, died after being struck by two vehicles late Tuesday night on westbound Interstate 270 west of Interstate 170 in St. Louis County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The Patrol's online crash report, identified as incident 260385060, says the crash occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m. on September 8, 2026. Investigators say a 2014 Ford Escape and a 2024 Kenworth T680, both traveling westbound, were involved in the collision with the pedestrian.

The man sustained fatal injuries at the scene, the Patrol reported. Troop C of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to and is handling the investigation into the crash.
