A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle Thursday on State Route 74.
As per the initial information, the officers actively responded to the freeway’s westbound lanes near Cortrite Avenue at around 1:16 a.m. after getting reports of a hit-and-run collision. On arrival, the first responders immediately took the victim to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The involved driver left the scene after hitting the pedestrian. Authorities have not provided any details regarding the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
