Paula M Rush died, 2 people injured after a multi-vehicle pile-up in Wilson County (Mt. Juliet, TN)

Authorities identified Paula M Rush, from Hendersonville, as the victim who died after a multi-vehicle wreck that injured two others in Wilson County on Wednesday.

As per the initial information, the fatal 4-vehicle pile-up took place just before 10 a.m. on Highway 70 and Mattehorn Drive. The preliminary reports showed that Rush was driving a 2002 Toyota Altima westbound on Highway 70 and a 2018 Hyundai Sonata was stopped in a turning lane eastbound.

The 2017 Ram 1500 was going eastbound and a 2011 Toyota Camry was also traveling east behind the Ram. The reports further revealed that the Altima crossed the center of the road and side-swiped the Sonata. After contact was made, the Altima entered the eastbound lane where it crashed into the Ram head-on, and then made contact with the Camry.

Rush died as a result of the collision while the drivers of Ram and Camry were injured. The driver of Sonata reportedly did not receive any injuries. The conditions were not included in the THP report. No further details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
