One person hurt after a semi-truck crash in Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MI)

On Monday morning, one person was hurt following a semi-truck crash on I-196 in Grand Rapids.

As per the early reports, the driver informed police that the load in the trailer shifted which caused the truck to lose control and flip off the freeway east of Lake Michigan Drive. The truck that was carrying fructose struck the guardrail and two light poles.

On arrival, first responders transported to the driver to a hospital for a minor hand injury. Authorities have not released any additional details in connection with the crash. The identity of the injured victim remains undisclosed.

The incident remains under review.
