One person hospitalized after a vehicle slammed into the back of a strip mall in Glendale (Glendale, AZ)

On Wednesday, one person sustained injuries after a vehicle slammed into the back of a strip mall in Glendale. The crash also ended up rupturing a gas line.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road just after 9:30 p.m. on April 13. When crews arrived at the scene, bystanders had already pulled the driver from the car and the gas line was burning.

The driver was taken to a hospital with a head injury. The condition of the victim remains unknown at this time. Southwest Gas eventually shut down the gas line while crews worked on putting out the fire. No firefighters were hurt. The cause of the crash remains unknown. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
