One person died following a hit-and-run accident in North Austin (Austin, TX)

One person died after getting struck by a vehicle in North Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place on 12400 N Interstate 35 NB just before midnight Saturday evening. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found the victim. The victim was declared deceased at 12:04 a.m. Sunday morning.

The preliminary reports revealed that the vehicle involved left the scene after the collision. No information is available regarding the suspect and hit-and-run vehicle. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next kin is notified. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
