One person died after an auto-pedestrian collision on Highway 41; Elmer Villatorro involved (Fresno, CA)

One person was killed after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday on Highway 41 which involved 19-year-old Elmer Villatorro of Fresno.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at around 11 p.m. on Highway 41, north of Friant Road. The preliminary reports showed that the pedestrian was crossing the highway’s northbound side when he was hit by a 2009 Cadillac driven by Villatorro. The front driver’s side reportedly hit the pedestrian. Due to the impact, the pedestrian was thrown into the center divider.

The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead. Villatorro and his 17-year-old passenger remained unharmed in the accident. Both were buckled up when the incident occurred. They cooperated with the investigators. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
